Confession: I've Played Too Much Video Games

So a thread on the WoW forums (think it got toasted-sorry no link) made me laugh and think all too clearly of the times when the game and reality fused together for a brief span of time. (EQ/WoW mostly)

Examples, you ask. Well, I think they're funny enough that I can bear the embarressment.

- I have tried to shapeshift into travel or stealth form before. Took five full seconds to realize it didn't work and that it would never.

- I have tried to Shift RMC and loot things.

- Game movement controls don't translate into Windows, Maya, Photoshop, or IE

- I have dreamed of verticies before, but never polys

- I have wondered if things I was entering into the inventory system were BoP

But the most common thing I've had happen to me (all the others have been single occurances) is:

- tried to /follow and stare at a car (most often)/person (only once) when they didn't move me forward with them. Takes about five or ten seconds to click in. I blame that one on EQ.
